Our Pro-AM drift build has taken a number of directions over the years and for 2020 it presents the wildest, cleanest, and most powerful race car yet. The Mustang started off brand new in 2006 as a show car that quickly transformed into something we could throw around SCCA Autocross tracks. Obviously that wasn't enough so we pulled the interior and added a roll cage to run SCCA Hill Climb events in eastern Pennsylvania.
After about two years of running various drag, road race, and autocross events, we discovered drifting. Since 2008 the car has undergone extensive work to shred as many tires as possible!
The past 10 years of drifting and racing have given us a ton of seat time to determine which hardware and settings really work. We've got a full coil-over suspension tied to a watts link in the rear of this solid-axle car that keeps the tires shredding. Our in-house developed front angle kit lets us throw it sideways way beyond the stock limits.
Using a 2006 4.6L 3 valve block as a base, the bottom end has been completely forged (crank, rods, pistons) to support 1000+ rwhp in the future. Stage 3 ported and polished heads along with all the best bits assure power is available on demand.
We've worked with the best in the business to drop on a 2.3L TVS supercharger that will produce power even during hot laps with ambient temperatures of 95+. Thanks to a custom supercharger manifold coupled with a full sized rear-mount heat exchanger and swirl tank pumping 24 gpm, there is no such thing as heat soak.
